Mom’s the word for me and my sisters and she apart from other dishes makes the best green chutney ever. No meal at mom’s place is complete without her famous green chutney and I assure you that after trying this , you will never make dhania chutney any other way. This works great with starters like kebabs, cutlets, samosas, chaat, sandwich spread etc.
Caution : This chutney is not for the weak hearted as it is spicy and tangy
Ingredients
Coriander or Cilantro leaves- one bunch ( clean and cut the stems)
Onion : one small chopped
Green Chilly- 6-7 ( I told you , it will be spicy)
Tomato- One medium size
Lemon juice- Take juice of two lemons
Garlic- 4-5 chopped
Salt to taste
Method
In a grinder, add onion, tomato, garlic, green chillies and make a fine paste. Add chopped cilantro or coriander leaves to the onion tomato paste and grind it once again. Add salt and again pulse it in the grinder. Lastly, add lemon juice and your spicy chutney is ready.
Lets innovate
- You can add one small raw mango to the chutney
- You can add little yoghurt and use it as dips for indian starters
- You can add little mint leaves
My mom makes it similarly ❤️
